About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Pioneering Women is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was formed in 2003, by sisters Georgine and Morline Guillory, in response to a need they identified in the community. Students were unable to continue their education due to a lack of resources, so the sisters decided to do something about it. Together, they formed Pioneering Women, which started as a organization that provided funds to students to be used on school supplies and books. The organization has evolved to also include programs for homebound residents, women in crisis, and a GED reimbursement

Each year, the group hosts an annual luncheon where seven community advocates are recognized for their efforts. This is called the Pioneering Women Luncheon and it is the primary fundraising effort for all Pioneering Women efforts. This year's event will take place on August 1, 2024, and will recognize the contributions of:

Michele Malonson, Janci Kimball, Tania Castelan, Maegan Collins, Fabiana Baum, GiGi Mazzola, and Judy Bettis, at the Holiday Inn Plaza & Suites, Beaumont, 11:30am.  For more info:  409-842-1577
